The Russian wrestling federation (RWF) has introduced restrictions on viewing access for the event. Now, foreign viewers will need to pay in order to watch the livestream.

“The Yarygin Grand Prix is one of the qualifying events for Russian wrestlers aiming for international competitions. However, in addition to their performance, they must now undergo an approval process by a committee of legal and ethical issues. This committee assesses the compliance of Russian and Belorussian citizens with admission criteria recommended by the International Olympic Committee. It’s important to note that these approval procedures are not free of charge and cannot be compensated by the federal budget or any federal bodies. This is the reason why we decided to introduce a paid subscription for foreign viewers. For those who support restrictions where the principles of international Olympic unity should prevail, it will cost more", is the comment from RWF.
